NewYork part 1

Today i rode my first NYC subway, and i wasnt harrassed, molested or attacked in anyway.
I had pizza at place under the brooklyn bridge, the wait was long, the pizza good, and the company of random strangers in close proximity pleasant.
I walked accross the Brooklyn bridge…

I went to TEH GOOGLE NY! OMG it was totally awesome. Like a toystore with technology ooozing out of every corner. They had scooters you could ride around the office.. SCOOTERS! and legos and yoga balls and beenbags and and and and.. i wish i was a computer geek so i could work for google.
Then we finished the night off by watching a traveling play.. like the actors walked around the city and you were suposed to walk around with them to get all the parts.
It was a very fun fileld day.
Can’t wait until tomorrow….

This will be my first actual visit to NYC. I am looking forward to many museums, good pizza, and amazing people watching.

On sunday my roommate Dominic celebrated his 30th birthday. It was a rockin party. There was a piñata filled with tiny bottles of alcohol, condoms, tiny penis pacifiers, and one pink lepeord vibrator. I did not get to hit the piñata, and i did not run to get any of the goodies once it had hit the ground. Somehow i managed to end up with the pink vibrator though…

I finished the evening with a conversation about bunions with Rick Steves… That’s right.. I the world traveler used up my opertunity to talk about any random country, with someone who might atually beable to give me good advice, to talk about bunions. I still dont know what the hell a bunion really is.

I have finished a new sweater. It is a Rowan pattern called Laura. It of course came out too small as Rowan is evil and makes patterns that are not made to fit real people. But i like the way it turned out.

to bleed or not to bleed…

Since last we spoke i have been injected with Hep A and B, Tetanus, and ingested liquid typhoid. All under medical supervision of course. I have one more Hep A/B shot at the end of june and then i will need to get another one in a year, but i will be all set for my journey.. medically anyway. My final dash to save enough money is right on schedule. I am buying the last few things i will need… shoes, sandles, modest clothing apropriate for hot weather, and a first aid kit. I am still thinking about what i should do about feminine hygene. Do i, buy luna pads which are reusable cloth pads, or do i buy a mooncup which is a silicone cup that you insert to catch stuff. Has anyone had any experiences with a mooncup or the keeper?
